Two Year Old Humor

I'm taking a "picture" of mommy taking my picture. "Cheeeeeez"!

I love wearing mommy's headband while playing - good thing daddy's not home! I also like to pick out clips and pretend to put on mascara :)

Mommy told me to pick out a couple of books to take to grandma and grandpa's house - but she forgot to tell me what "a couple" is!

I'm shoveling snow...onto the driveway and randomly around the yard!

"Hiding" :)

The artist is busy at work! So serious - and he did such a great job!

I LOVE playing outside - even in the snow! I would stay out there all day - shoveling snow onto the sidewalk and driveway, climbing snow piles, looking for the neighbor girl...there's just so much to do!

Books can be used for a variety of things - reading, stacking, etc.! Mom's book by Jodi Picoult looked pretty good, but didn't have enough pictures for me, so I added it to the pile. Then "boom" - they all fell down with just a little help :)

Cuddling my "Li-yee"

Lilly and I have gotten pretty close lately. She sticks around sometimes when I try to "love" her! I try really hard to pet her "nice" - and I found out she makes a great pillow. I think she loves it as much as I do :)

Baking and "Decorating" Cookies

I LOVE cookies! It's really hard to wait for them to bake - it's a concept I don't quite grasp yet. Mommy wanted me to decorate the cookie, but I didn't see the point of waiting - all the toppings tasted good without the trouble of putting them ON the cookie!

Playing with Grandma and Grandpa F

JJ had a blast playing with Grandma and Grandpa Fritz over Thanksgiving weekend. He thinks he's pretty tricky with all his "hiding". He kept us all entertained with lots of giggles!

My New Store

I LOVE to play in mommy's pantry. I can reach everything on the first two shelves so I try to help mommy keep things organized. One day when I woke up from nap the pantry door was closed and I had a new store all set up. I love to pick out the groceries, scan them, put them in the bag, then put money in the register! Pushing the cart around with the little baby in is fun too. Sometimes we stop driving for a real snack - pretty much any time we say "pees" to mommy!

JJ's New Tree

I take my tree watering responsibilities very seriously! I get dressed up in my "daddy boots" and daddy's hat, then it's off to work I go. I prefer to keep the hose in one location for the entire watering because it causes the bark to bubble up and that is fun for me - mommy getting all flustered about it is also fun! Grandpa Fritz helped me plant the tree the day before my birthday. I did most of the work of course :)

JJ Turned Two!

I helped make my cake and enjoyed the "cleaning up" part best! It was fun to celebrate with my friends at the gym - and I loved my train cake - especially the M&Ms that decorated it :)

Water Play

Definitely a "before" and "after" of JJ playing with his new water table. The hose was almost as much fun - spraying mommy, the house, and whatever else was around!

Monster Machines in Motion

Today we went to Monster Machines in Motion - and JJ had a blast exploring large machinery, digging in dirt and sand, riding behind a tractor, riding ON a back hoe, and climbing a huge pile of rocks.

What a great day for a boy that loves to watch the equipment near our house as they work on building new homes!

Stacking the tower

JJ loves his new stacking tower. He's very proud when he gets them all on - no matter the order. He asks what color each piece is, or he guesses himself. He sometimes identifies colors when asked and occasionally names the color himself!
